
Rebecca Sinclair
Principal, The Children's Guild DC Public Charter
Rebecca Sinclair is a dedicated school leader with two decades of experience driving organizational transformation, school culture advancement, and student-centered growth. She began her career in the classroom as a Teach For America corps member in Philadelphia, establishing a lifelong commitment to educational equity that has shaped her teaching experience as a secondary Social Studies, English Language Arts, and Linguistically Diverse Educator. She has twenty years of teaching and administrative experience—including dean of students, vice-principal, associate director, and director roles within prominent public charter school networks, including most recently 10 years at KIPP DC.
Rebecca has specialized in building robust, data-driven instructional cycles and implementing comprehensive Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) frameworks. Her leadership philosophy is anchored in the belief that an exceptional education must be holistic, trauma-informed, and deeply collaborative—fostering inclusive, supportive environments where both educators and students can thrive. She holds a Master of Education from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor’s degree from Colorado College.
Rebecca lives in Washington DC with her husband, Rajiv, and their 4 dogs and cat. She is an avid reader, enjoys outdoor activities such as rock climbing, skiing, and hiking, and was a 3-sport athlete and NCAA Academic All-American.
