Liesa joins the Guild team with a history of volunteering with programs that focus on keeping children motivated to excel in their education. Through long-term mentoring, she learned that strong support systems are built from awareness and commitment.
Liesa can now put her passion for improving learning opportunities for children to work on a full-time basis by supporting The Children’s Guild’s mission as she leads the implementation of the organization’s new marketing and public relation strategies. In addition, coordinating external messages with internal, she will also streamline communications with other functions of the organization from the tactical level.
Before joining The Children’s Guild, Liesa enjoyed more than 20 years of sharing trained marketing innovation know-how with science-based and non-profit organizations as well as several small businesses in the DMV area. Although raising awareness of scientific discovery is no longer the focus of her work, the desire to promote learning remains the same.
