Director of Organizational Compliance

As the Director of Organizational Compliance at The Children’s Guild, LaToya leads organizational projects focused on internal and external auditing, quality improvement, and system creation to ensure agency-wide compliance. With over a decade of experience in compliance and human service, LaToya is dedicated to building strong relationships and providing essential training and support to programs across the organization.

LaToya joined The Children’s Guild in 2014, beginning her journey as direct care staff in the Therapeutic Group Homes, where she supported student success and taught critical life skills. She later transitioned to the role of Quality and Compliance Specialist, managing student and staff records, collaborating with regulatory bodies, and developing systems to maintain compliance standards.

Prior to her work at The Children’s Guild, LaToya amassed 18 years of experience in human services, delivering outpatient mental health and substance abuse services in Baltimore City. Her previous roles also include working with impactful programs such as WIC at the University of Maryland Medical Center and Healthy Start.

LaToya holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a Master of Social Work degree with a focus in Children, Youth, and Families, both from Morgan State University.
