John Weitzel joined The Children’s Guild’s facilities department in August of 2021, bringing with him a strong commitment to serve children and families.

With a background in special education, and school development and programming, John brings his understanding of what students, families, and staff need for a space to be safe and functional. This knowledge allows him to create spaces that don’t just meet their minimum needs but supports and empowers The Children’s Guilds programs at their highest levels.

John’s passion is shared by his team, who work to ensure that every location is aligned with the TCG mission to provide transformative education.

John earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from St. Mary’s College of Maryland and is currently pursuing his A.A.S. degree in Interior Design and CADD at the Community College of Baltimore County.
