Dr. Jody M. Miller serves as the Principal at The Children’s Guild School of Baltimore, bringing more than 23 years of experience in special education leadership, behavior analysis, and therapeutic school administration. Throughout her career, she has dedicated herself to developing innovative educational programs that empower students with diverse learning, behavioral, and social-emotional needs to reach their fullest potential.
Dr. Miller holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Leadership Studies and is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Her expertise includes applied behavior analysis (ABA), Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), crisis prevention and intervention, special education compliance, and the development of data-driven systems that improve student outcomes.
Prior to joining The Children’s Guild, Dr. Miller served in executive leadership roles across Tennessee, California, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, where she successfully opened and led multiple therapeutic and special education schools. She has extensive experience building multidisciplinary teams, mentoring educators and school leaders, strengthening organizational systems, and partnering with families and community agencies to provide comprehensive support for students.
Dr. Miller is passionate about creating safe, structured, and compassionate learning environments where every student is treated with dignity, high expectations, and individualized support. She believes that meaningful relationships, consistent systems, and evidence-based practices are the foundation for helping students achieve both academic and personal success.
