The Children’s Guild District of Columbia Public Charter School will hold a Back to School and Family Community Day event on Saturday, Aug. 17, from noon to 2 p.m. at the school at 2146 24th Place NE in the District of Columbia off Bladensburg Road and New York Avenue.
Open to the public, prospective students and their families will have the opportunity to tour the school and meet the staff. In addition, there will be a community flea market, free cook-out, a moon bounce, face painting, a photo booth, giveaways and games and activities for children.
The Children’s Guild D.C. Public Charter School is open to students living in the District of Columbia entering kindergarten through eighth grade, and there are still openings for fall 2019. Bus transportation is provided.
