April L. Murphy is a dedicated educator entering her 24th year in the field of education. She began her teaching career in Virginia and has been serving students in Anne Arundel County Public Schools since 2013. Her journey in AACPS began at Brock Bridge Elementary School, where she taught before moving to Hebron-Harman Elementary School, where she served from 2014 to 2020.

Following her time in the classroom, April supported new educators as a Right Start Advisor, helping to guide and mentor beginning teachers. In October 2021, she joined Monarch Global Academy (MGA) as Assistant Principal, a role she held until June 2024. She then served as Assistant Principal at Meade Heights Elementary School before returning to MGA, where she now proudly serves as Principal.

April is passionate about fostering inclusive learning environments, supporting teacher development, and ensuring every student has the opportunity to thrive.
