With a background in social work and higher education, Esther is uniquely qualified to empower students and staff to pursue educational and professional growth.
She is responsible for oversight of The Children’s Guild Field Education Program, which provides internship opportunities to students in local universities. Esther also develops continuing education curriculum and manages onboarding and orientation of department staff. Esther brings a thoughtfulness to program systems and provides constructive feedback to staff and leadership with both a wide and close lens.
Esther has worked in treatment foster care, provided direct counseling services to children and adults, and worked in a variety of leadership and supervisory roles. She is passionate about community and self-care in mental health, fostering individual career development and growth, equity in access to educational opportunities, and empowering staff and students in their leadership development.
Esther obtained her Master of Science in Social Work and Bachelor of Science in Biology from The University of Texas at Arlington.
